Power-walk into that municipal building! Yes!!!!

Jeremy Says:

It’s really interesting how they manage to make the customers in the commercials look smart and self-aware without looking like the supposed yuppies that drink Starbucks. DD’s is middle America. But who says middle America can’t enjoy some TMBG humor, right?

Jeremy Says:

And one other thing: DD’s is for people who do things and have real jobs! Implying of course that Starbucks is for people who sit around in front of their laptops all day NOT doing anything of much consequence. People who don’t have to power walk or switch out of their tennis shoes once they get to their cubicle.

Renee Says:

OMG! I knew there was a reason I liked these commercials!

However, I had not heard the powerwalk one before. If i had, I would have recognized it immediately.

Betsy Says:

I think it would be more accurate to say that the difference implied by the DD ads is that DD is for people who are more interested in reliability over image or sleekness (hence the sneakers). Starbucks, while they get a bum rap in the city, advertises itself a bit more to people who do in fact work, but are younger, more stylish, and perhaps more sophisticated.

Daryl Lang Says:

Does anybody still go to Dunkin Donuts for donuts?
