My sense of things: New York (and my community in Brooklyn in particular) is more electrified about this election than any event in recent memory. The enthusiasm level is much higher than when the Giants were in the Super Bowl, for example.

Right now Flight of the Conchords has the number one album on iTunes.

Seriously? A quasi-fictitious novelty folk duo from New Zealand has the number one album? We knew them when!

My favorite thing about The Conchords’ HBO show is its use of weird, unglamorous New York locations… like Flushing Meadows, and the far Lower East Side, and wherever the heck this park is. After “Sex and The City,” HBO owed us big time.
