What's hot:

Romney all in on “magical misery tour”

As President Obama toured the Midwest by bus this week, Republican candidate for president Mitt Romney dubbed it the “Magical Misery bus tour.” Now Romney is capitalizing on this phrase. Hard.

Here’s what Romney said in a statement earlier this week:

“During his Magical Misery bus tour this week, it is unlikely President Obama will speak with unemployed Americans, to near-bankrupt business owners, or to families struggling to survive in this economy. He is more interested in campaigning in swing states than working to solve the economic crisis that is crushing the middle class. Turning this economy around will require real leadership and the experience of someone who has actually worked in the private sector.”

Seems like a totally routine political statement. Snore.

But now, this. The Romney campaign has started selling “Magical Misery Tour” t-shirts for $30 (or more) as a fund-raiser. Yes, this is real life:

Magical Misery Tour Shirts

(For the benefit of those readers who might be unfamiliar with a rock band called the Beatles… this is a pun on the 1967 film and album “Magical Mystery Tour.”)

So, if you’ve ever wanted a tie-dyed shirt sporting the mugs of Vice President Biden, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid, and House Minority Leader Pelosi, Mitt’s got your hookup.

File this one somewhere between brilliant and despicable.
