  • Saturday, May 6, 2000

    Leave State College early. Drive 250 miles/4 hours to Cleveland, Ohio. Visit Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Spend the night with Daryl's relatives.

  • Sunday, May 7, 2000 From Cleveland, drive 350 miles/5.5 hours through Louisville, Kentucky. Camp at My Old Kentucky Home State Park. Rate: $8.50 + $2 = $10.50. No reservations.

  • Monday, May 8, 2000

    From Kentucky, drive 350 miles/5.5 hours to Memphis, Tennessee. Camp at the Graceland KOA.

  • Tuesday, May 9, 2000

    Visit Graceland. From Tennessee, drive 200 miles/3 hours to the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas. Camp just north of Ozark at Redding campground. Rate: $10

  • Wednesday, May 10, 2000

    From Arkansas, drive to 500 miles/7.5 hours Amarillo, Texas. Camp at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Rate: $10.

  • Thursday, May 11, 2000

    From Texas, drive 450 miles/7 hours Gallup, New Mexico. Camp at Red Rocks State Park. Rate: $10.

  • Friday, May 12, 2000

    From New Mexico, drive 300 miles/4.5 hours to Grand Canyon, Arizona. Enter South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Camp at South Rim's Mather Campground.

  • Saturday, May 13, 2000

    Drive 250 miles/3.5 hours from Arizona to Vegas. Stay in Vegas overnight at the Luxor hotel.

  • Sunday, May 14, 2000

    Drive 500 miles/8 hours from Grand Canyon to San Francisco. Camp at China Moon State Park.

  • Monday, May 15, 2000

    Visit the city. Spend a second night at China Moon State Park near San Francisco.

  • Tuesday May 16, 2000

    Drive 300 miles/4.5 hours to Redwood National Park.

  • Wednesday, May 17, 2000

    Drive to 400 miles/6.5 hours to Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. Spend the night with Ryan's friend.

  • Thursay, May 18, 2000

    Drive to 180 miles/3 hours to Seattle, Washington. Spend the night with Ryan's family.

  • Friday, May 19, 2000 Spend the day in Seattle. No driving.

  • Saturday, May 20, 2000

    Drive 500 miles/8 hours to Lolo National Forest, Montana. Stay at Campground St. Regis.

  • Sunday, May 21, 2000

    Drive 550 miles/8 hours to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit, North Dakota. Visitor's center is just off I-94 in Medora.

  • Monday, May 22, 2000

    Drive 500 miles/8 hours to the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Visit Daryl's friends in Glenwood, visit Mall of America, keep driving. Take turns sleeping, take a short break for the night at a truck stop in Wisconsin.

  • Tuesday, May 23, 2000

    Drive to Chicago in the morning. Then drive straight through for the rest of the day to State College.
