Fri. Oct. 10, 2003 - Laxmi Narayan Temple, Delhi

You'll find spirituality everywhere in India. This was the first of many temples and mosques I entered during my trip. On my first day in Delhi, I rode around the city with a auto-rickshaw driver who offered to take me on a tour of the city. We went to this Hindu temple, built during the 1940s, and decorated with statues of Brahman in its various godly forms. Hindus worship one God who takes the form of many specific gods... so while you may be praying to a statue of Vishnu or Ganesh, you're praying to the same God. At least, that's how it was explained to me.
